Interim Chief General Manager Gary Webster wrote to say that e2â‚¬Å“the TTC considers the deemlopvent of its information and communication resources to be a very important iteme2â‚¬9d (try saying that three times fast) and that they had e2â‚¬Å“participatede2â‚¬a6in some preliminary information gathering sessions with Google Transit project leaders.e2â‚¬9d Finally, he added that since e2â‚¬Å“TTC staff are involvede2â‚¬9d he would e2â‚¬Å“respectfully declinee2â‚¬9d volunteer help.This was similar to the experience we had with the University of Waterloo. We wanted to build them a new open source co-op system. Instead, they ended up with some multimillion dollar Oracle/PeopleSoft monstrosity (which I hear is terrible).
